Jack Dake Sr., a loving father, husband, and military veteran, passed away in early May after battling Alzheimer’s disease for 13 years, his family says. But when his death certificate came in a week later, the coronavirus was listed as his cause of death. His family was shocked.
“Alzheimer’s was the cause of death, and COVID-19 was not even a contributing condition,” Dake’s son, Jack Dake Jr., told the Oklahoman. “Yet it’s recorded as the only cause of death.”
Dake Jr. told the outlet that by the time his dad had been diagnosed with COVID-19, he had already entered one of the last stages of Alzheimer’s and would soon enter hospice care.
He had been tested for the coronavirus after being taken to the hospital when nursing home staff said he had a “decreased appetite” and “generalized weakness.” At the time of the test, he presented with a fever and cough but no shortness of breath, and he didn’t require supplemental oxygen.
Hospital records from a second visit days later — due to a fall that cut his hand — noted that Dake Sr.’s possible COVID-19 symptoms had reduced even more. He presented no fever, no cough, no shortness of breath, and “no other complaints or modifying factors.”
Yet when hospice care workers prepared a list of emergency contacts for the family, they listed COVID-19 as the terminal diagnosis. From that point forward, that was the official determination.
“On the day he died, one of the people at the care facility said that his was a COVID-19 death, to which we immediately objected,” Dake Jr. recalled. “COVID-19 had nothing whatsoever to do with his death, nor was it an underlying cause. In fact, since he had already been through the symptoms, he was probably negative for the coronavirus and now had antibodies.”

“We currently have 85 babies under the age of one year in Nueces County that have all tested positive for COVID-19,” Annette Rodriguez, director of public health for Corpus Christi Nueces County, said at the press conference. “These babies have not even had their first birthday yet. Please help us stop the spread of this disease.”
Rodriguez’s comments stoked widespread fear of a surge in cases in the county, while raising questions about how dozens of infants could have suddenly contracted the virus.
News outlets across the country picked up the story, including CNN, CBS News, Huffington Post, The Hill, and the Associated Press.
But Rodriguez was mistaken, according to Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales.
According to KRIS 6 News in Corpus Christi, Canales said that 85 infants have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic several months ago.
“On Friday, July 17, during a press conference, a spokesperson mentioned that 85 i3nfants under the age of one had tested positive for coronavirus,” Canales said in a statement, KRIS 6 reported. “This number reflects the cumulative total of positive tests for infants under the age of 1 since the beginning of testing in mid-March, which has resulted in 8,171 positive test results.”
“Stating this number during our press conference led many to believe that we had a sudden surge in infants under the age of one testing positive. We have NOT had a sudden surge of 85 infants testing positive,” she said.

PER THE CDC: A POSITIVE TEST MAY BE JUST A COMMON COLD!
A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold.

THEN THERE IS THE FRAUD IN REPORTING RESULTS!
The Florida Department of Health released its daily coronavirus testing report showing a statewide positivity rate of 11 percent, but FOX 35 News investigated and quickly noticed some shocking positivity rates.
Countless labs have reported a 100 percent positivity rate, which means every single person tested was positive. Other labs had very high positivity rates. FOX 35 found that testing sites like Centra Care reported that 83 people were tested and all tested positive. Then, NCF Diagnostics in Alachua reported 88 percent of tests were positive.
How could that be? FOX 35 News investigated these astronomical numbers, contacting every local location mentioned in the report.
The report showed that Orlando Health had a 98 percent positivity rate. However, when FOX 35 News contacted the hospital, they confirmed errors in the report. Orlando Health’s positivity rate is only 9.4 percent, not 98 percent as in the report.
The report also showed that the Orlando Veteran’s Medical Center had a positivity rate of 76 percent. A spokesperson for the VA told FOX 35 News on Tuesday that this does not reflect their numbers and that the positivity rate for the center is actually 6 percent.
FOX 35 News has yet to hear from the other labs or the Florida Department of Health to explain how the error could have been made on an official report.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is facing backlash from the scientific community and others for using a state report that backed up his theory that nursing home coronavirus deaths were not caused by his policies, even though the report may not have thoroughly explored the issue. Cuomo has been insisting that the thousands of nursing home deaths had nothing to do with his March 25 order that required nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients who were medically stable without testing them, claiming that the deaths were caused by infected staff members who spread the virus. The new report backs this up, but experts have questioned the report’s methods.
“Would this get published in an academic journal? No,” University of Texas, Houston, epidemiologist Catherine Troisi told The Associated Press.
The report says that 80 percent of the 310 nursing homes in the state that took coronavirus patients already had cases before Cuomo issued his order, but Troisi noted that it does not address what impact the order had on the other 20 percent.
Denis Nash, an epidemiologist at the City University of New York School of Public Health, told the AP that the number of nursing home deaths reported by the state does not include residents who died at a hospital. Nash said this is a “potentially huge problem” that undercounts the virus’ toll and could “introduce bias into the analysis.”
Rupak Shivakoti, an epidemiologist at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, noted that even if the report is accurate in stating that infected staff were the greatest factor in contributing to residents’ deaths, the order still could have played a role.
“If they didn’t infect other patients directly,” Shivakoti said, “they still could have infected a worker.”
Cuomo has blamed “dirty politics” for the accusations he has faced over his order, which he eventually rescinded on May 10. He said it was a “political conspiracy that the deaths in nursing homes were preventable.”
Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., who is a leader of a House subcommittee on the COVID crisis, said in a letter to Cuomo last week that “[b]lame-shifting, name-calling and half-baked data manipulations will not make the facts or the questions they raise go away.”
Charlene Harrington, a professor emerita of nursing and sociology at the University of California at San Francisco, is not convinced by New York’s explanations.
“It seems like the Department of Health is trying to justify what was an untenable policy,” Harrington said.
Cuomo, who early on received adulation for his leadership during the pandemic, was also recently blasted for selling a poster touting New York’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.
On Monday, Cuomo debuted the poster he designed called “New York Tough” that he suggested captures the journey his state went through while addressing the pandemic.
According to the pre-order page, the poster costs $14.50 plus shipping and handling and “New York State does not profit from the sale of this poster.”
Cuomo also recently told 1010 WINS radio that he is writing a book about his experience handling the pandemic.

Until last week, Gary Garrels was senior curator of painting and sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). He resigned his position after museum employees circulated a petition that accused him of racism and demanded his immediate ouster.
“Gary’s removal from SFMOMA is non-negotiable,” read the petition. “Considering his lengthy tenure at this institution, we ask just how long have his toxic white supremacist beliefs regarding race and equity directed his position curating the content of the museum?”
This accusation—that Garrels’ choices as an art curator are guided by white supremacist beliefs—is a very serious one. Unsurprisingly, it does not stand up to even minimal scrutiny.
The petitioners cite few examples of anything even approaching bad behavior from Garrels. Their sole complaint is that he allegedly concluded a presentation on how to diversify the museum’s holdings by saying, “don’t worry, we will definitely still continue to collect white artists.”

Baccus came out of the house while Officer Bryant was issuing the $10 parking infraction, WPDE reported.
“Why are you harassing us? You don’t have anything better to do than write parking tickets?” Baccus asked the police officer, according to WMBF.
The police report said that Officer Bryant told the city councilwoman that he wasn’t harassing her and said if she had a complaint, she should take it to the chief of police, WPDE reported.
“Then she said ‘I will, what your name?’” Baccus asked, according to the report. “At that time, she made a call on her cell phone. ‘Why do you have this white officer over here harassing us?’ Then it looked like she ended the call and said to this officer ‘The chief said he will take care of this ticket.’ Then I stated that’s good, I wasn’t harassing anyone.”
That’s when the councilwoman’s nasty tone turned racist, WPDE reported.
“Take your white self back to the white neighborhood,” Baccus told the officer. “You’re probably the kind that would shoot us in the back.”

The FULL PAGE letter to the editor (C’mon…only staged full multi-staged spreads passed off as a letter to the editor get so much space…mostly letters to an editor are lucky to see a single paragraph) is probably how she got the 1619 job in the first place! Hannah-Jones wrote that “the white race is the biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world.” in a 1995 letter that was originally obtained by The Federalist. Hannah-Jones also compared Christopher Columbus to Adolf Hitler, and claimed the “white race used deceit and trickery, warfare and rape” to steal land.
Hannah-Jones is the lead author of the New York Times’ 1619 project, and has defended violence and looting that occurred during protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
“And so when we think about someone taking an act to take something from some big box name store, it is symbolic,” she said of the looting. “That one pair of shoes that you’ve stolen from Foot Locker is not going to change your life. But it is a symbolic taking.”
Hannah-Jones was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her role in the 1619 Project, which claims that America’s “true founding” occurred in 1619, when the first slaves reached North America. The project has been criticized by historians and civil rights activists, who have argued that the project promotes a revisionist history of America’s founding.

Seattle City Council Member Suggests Firing White Officers In Massive Reduction Of Police Department

The article, titled, “Black Power Naps is Addressing Systemic Racism in Sleep,” reveals the Black Power Naps initiative, which alleges that African Americans typically have shorter life spans when compared to their white peers.
Black Power Naps — created by writers Navild Acosta and Fannie Sosa — insists that black lives are shorter than white lives because blacks experience “generational fatigue” simply on the grounds that they are African American.
The magazine describes Black Power Naps as an “artistic initiative with components including physical installations, zines, an opera, and more.”
Writers Acosta and Sosa revealed that they experienced an epiphany: They were always tired, and realized that it was because they were impacted by “hundreds of years of sleep deprivation” that was due to systemic racism.
“[They] were tired, but it wasn’t just any old fatigue,” the article read. “Yes, they experienced a lack of sleep, but they were specifically experiencing a generational fatigue familiar to black people and people of color.”
The realization prompted them to demand reparations through breaks and time off from work through the initiative.
“[Black Power Naps] is also a recognition of the hundreds of years of sleep deprivation that black people and people of color have experienced as a result of systemic racism, a way to push back against the false stereotype that black people are lazy, and an investigation of the inequitable distribution of rest,” the article added.

Ms. Lightfoot also seems to think that a Universal background check will help stop the gun violence in Chicago. Does she realize that a majority of criminals do not go to the local sporting goods stores and purchase these weapons legally?
